I've a friend who's been working through breaking up with her unfaithful boyfriend recently. I've got a balladeer concert Saturday, and would like to show my support with something gentle and comforting. I've been sifting through my mind for a nice "It's all right, you can let it out and then move on, you're a lovely person" sort of thing to sing.
    We do a mix of unaccompanied shanties, the usual Celtic ballads, and I'm a devoted fan of Stan Rogers and Archie Fisher, to give you a sense of what the concert will be like. I sing and fingerpick guitar, the other guys sing only.
    Any traditional suggestions that might make this 17-year-old lass feel a bit better?
