I loved his music, from the first time Max played him on Mudcat Radio. Then he came to the Getaway, and lots of us met him. This haunts me, and I haven't stopped thinking about it at all. It's definitely bad that he's gone, but leaving at the musical/creative top of your game, surrounded by loved ones and friends, and without pain or suffering, and feeling pretty good, actually, is not a bad end. It's just really hard to figure out why I, and many of us, managed to out-live him. I figure a few of us are wondering about that. It's good to love while we can love.
