Observer, the example you used in answering my question had nothing to do with what I was suggesting, unless, of course, The Filipino singers grew up with parents who spoke English with various American or English accents. I also agree with McGrath's comment, although I try, when I sing, not to fall into the habit of adopting an accent, which is hard for me as I've always had a love of language, words, and the way they are pronounced, etc.
