I was a Kingston Trio fan. Their music was such a welcome change from singers on the Top 40 station. Those singers whined, croaked or whinged, but the Trio sang in tune, sang like men, and blended together. And each album offered variety. I still sing Kingston Trio songs in the car or around the house: Buddy Better Get on Down the Line Darlin Corey Who's Gonna Hold Her Hand? Colorado Trail Tell Old Bill There was a blues song that Nick Reynolds sang which I still sing today. I don't know the title of it, but it begins like this: It's only been a year or so, but it seems so long ago. I packed up my bag and left my home. Been from Fresno to Maine, even worked a boat in Spain. I ain't ever had a bed to call my own.
