Hi, My grandmother gave me the same lyrics Yorkshire Yankee posted, with one additional verse: ‘Tis a gift to be caring, ‘tis a gift to be kind ‘Tis a gift to wait to hear another’s mind That when we speak our feelings they may come true Is a gift for me and a gift for you. I don’t know where this verse came from, but it has been passed down through my Quaker family. I’ve never seen it anywhere on the internet.
