Mom! What is this "overall scheme of things" people talk about? When I see people wearing overalls, "scheme" is not the first word that comes to mind. "Scheme" implies a well thought out plan created by an intelligent brain. "Overalls" implies goofy looking things worn by people who are incapable of threading belts through the loops of regular pairs of pants. And if there is an overall scheme of things, exactly what are the "things" one would normally associate with overalls? Red bandannas? Work boots caked with horse shit?
