For the past few years I have been introducing the song "May Morning Dew" by discussing the Crossroads and the ban on Irish language and music. I then mention that this song is one of the first sean-nos songs to be written in English. Well, after singing it this weekend it occurred to me that I had gotten that information from somewhere but I had no clue "where" that somewhere was! A quick check online and in the search results here yielded no reliable information. Does anyone have some information about the origins of this lovely song?
