I did not have grits for breakfast this morning, but I did have bacon. I'm not sure if the amount of bacon I had qualifies as a rasher. Is "rasher" a specific or non-specific amount? Does it mean "three or four slices" or something more like "a shitload"? Is it even possible to have a rasher of bacon in the US, or does the bacon have to be in the British Isles to qualify? If there's a Brit-themed restaurant next door to a Waffle House, can they sell rashers while the Waffle House can only sell slices?

Tomorrow morning, I plan on having sausage. I'm sure I shall enlist your aid in determining whether or not they qualify as bangers.
