But Jim, I had only heard of Kodaly because Lloyd cited him as an expert on folklore in his 'Folk Song in England'. This is why Kodaly's comment on Lloyd and MacColl took my attention when I came across it. Kodaly's name crops up several times in Lloyds' book. If his ideas are irrelevant to the question of what is and is not folk song in England, then perhaps Lloyd should not have drawn upon him in a book of that title? But tea is on the table. Yum.
