Bloody hell Jim. Do you have anything nice to say about anybody who's alive? Martin Carthy is one of the unavoidable stopping off points for every English guitarist-singer. For Brian and me his version, and maybe Tony Rose's version of Thorneymoor Woods was inspirational. Okay guitars aren't your thing. You've made that plain. But for some of us they are all we think of all day, having gone to sleep thinking about them in our dreams all night. In Brian's case, he thinks about concertinas too. But with me - its just the guitars.
