I wanted my bank to sign copies of my driving licence and a utility bill so I could open an account with another bank in Ireland. I duly took copies and originals to my bank in my home town in England. Hello, could you please sign these to show who I am. No was the reply we don't know you. I have banked with them for 30 years, 10 of which have been with that branch. Fine, can I take 200 out of my account now please. Yes was the reply, no problem. So they would let me withdraw money from an account but they didn't know who I was. Arrrrgggggggggggggggg !!!!!
