I think the earliest performance I've seen was in an episode of Perry Mason. The funny thing about actors who went on to be real famous, when they were on those programs as usually one-off guests, they would have been forgettable. But they jump off the screen at you now. He'd been acting for a few years, and I see he was in Naked City. I haven't seen many of those, but I've read about the program; it was an interesting concept and had some nice stories. "There are eight million stories. . . "
