Well, I came through to the living room about 7:45pm and father says “that old cat’s out there”. Sure enough, Puss Puss was out there and sitting there (within the limitations of a cat that does not trust humans) out in the open, as bold as brass, almost as if he’d got wind of Furball’s (who I still miss) demise through cat gossip channels and had decided we should feed him this evening.

I thought he looked a bit better than last time I saw him but he’s still the rough old stray who today let me within 3ft before backing away. I gave him 2 pouches for starters, then he stood to wait for another, and then a fourth as Pip and I were leaving for a music do.

We’ve still got plenty of pouches from Furball at the moment but I guess well need to keep some in stock in case of other visitors.
