Wild Road by Gabriel King. I'll look that up Dave. Sounds most interesting. Love all the names of those stray cats. Shame though that they had to go a-begging to get food. Winter must have been hard for them all. I seem to remember that Alan Titchmarsh programme about the twin ladies. I fed Spirit again yesterday. He wolfed down a large plate of leftovers, and a bit of milk. I don't usually give cats milk as it can cause diarrhoeia, but he so loves it. Smokey-Pokey sat on the bench and hollered right into my face in Siamese. I knew full well what he was saying. "Get that blinking White Thing off our property will yer? And for gawd's sake stop feeding the bugger!"
