GUEST,Arkansas Red-Ozark Troubadour Vega banjos pronunciation (6) Vega banjos pronunciation 15 Sep 18

I play a Vega five string banjo. I've always been puzzled by the name. Some call it Vee-gah, and some call it Vay-gah. I've heard the Vega factory called it Vee-gah, but yet I've heard Vay-gah concerning the brightest star in the constellation Lyra, and the star symbol seemed to be the logo of Vega banjos. I've heard the correct title for the banjo is Vee-gah, that Vay-gah is a car. Need some thoughts on this. Thanks.
