I have had several requests for the lyric of one of my songs. For those who may be interested, I have posted a Youtube video of me singing the song at the Glenfarg Folk Club. It is a parody of Eric Bogle's famous anti-war song "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda". The theme of the song deals with the conflict which arises between a teenage boy and his father. The boy wants to focus his attention and energy on 'wynchin' a girl, rather than helping his father around the farm. For those not familiar with the tern 'wynchin', it is an old Scottish word meaning courting. It has nothing to do with ropes and pulleys... at least not on the first date. Nae Mair Wynchin
