I've been very fond of Irish American harper Dennis Doyle for a number of years. He is a regular at the Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival, and gladly sits in with the sessions hosted by local groups, teaches Irish Gaelic workshops, and is generally a lovely person to be around. This last summer he divulged that his brother has written a sitcom that is to be aired this fall. It's fall, and I've found that the show The Kids are Allright will air on ABC on Tuesday nights starting Oct. 16. The show is based on Dennis' family and multiple brothers, growing up in an Irish Catholic family in California in the 1960s. I'm drawing a blank on where in the age line up Dennis falls, but it looks to be entertaining. I'm curious to see how much music is part of the goings-on & how different a family in California is from one in Cleveland in the same era and sort of cultural milieu. Joanne in Cleveland
