The altered state of consciousness is what getting high is. It can be achieved through music, painting, dance or what you are good at. Time does not exist there. Internal colors or scenes will be created. Healing may even occur. I learned this first from the transformative power of music for Americans Leonard Bernstein can explain the altered state that music causes. But best of all just do it.
