Sounds like one of those urban legend things: all of a sudden we are supposed to be extra-scared of drivers in front of us slamming on their brakes for no reason, because ... they are evil, or something. No doubt there will be a number of anecdotes making the rounds. Some years back, it was drivers flashing their headlights - and if you flashed back, they would come after you and kill you. It was the initiation for some weird gang. It's true: I read it on the internet.
