The Utah cops used pepper spray and a dog. I hope the dog wasn't sprayed, although it was probably spayed. The entrance arches for George Washington Memorial Park in Jackson, Wyoming are made of elk antlers. However, these antlers were "sheds" from the National Elk Refuge right outside of town (go in winter and you can ride a sleigh or wagon pulled by horses among the elk). The Boy Scouts there make more than a few thousand bucks a year picking up and selling the sheds every Spring -- the things are desired for everything from dog chews to jewelry to handles. But I too don't see why (apart from a bar or something) folks would buy a mount of anything, from a squirrel to a yeti. Ours Elks Lodge has several mounts of elk -- mounts from elk that were taken over a century ago. An electrical appliance store has full body mounts of cougar, wolf, and others, all of which were taken by the founder prior to the store opening in 1902. Me, I don't have any such things, except for this flying squirrel I shot a few years back. Little sucker was wearing a helmet and goggles, if you can believe it!
