Still not getting any satisfactory response on the question of why the fact that the Germans sell more to us than we sell to them means that we have a strong hand in negotiating with the EU. Nobody is going to ban German goods from entering the UK. They are not going to lose their market if we come out of the EU, are they? Not only that, but it seems that Germany is the 2nd on the list of countries we export to. Looked at like that, it seems that if we do 'lose' the abilitity to export to Germany, we will be losing our 2nd largest market. Size isn't everything, is it?
