On one hand, there are people who want to rule the world and define what "folk music" is for everyone. On the other hand, you have people who want to rule the world by letting those other guys set the agenda. So what drives them are the folks attempting to rule the world. Then there's that third parasitic twin's hand, where all threads default to McColl. I don't know where the other hand is. Why on earth does what other people think drive your happy car? Do whatever the fuck you want to do. Enjoy whatever the fuck you enjoy. When you start bending yourself into forms that will please other people, you're not really worth anyone's attention. Have fun! And I know full well that the actual "fun" people are having around here is fighting with a usual set of opponents about subjects that will never be resolved. Because people gotta sound their barbaric "YAWP", and it doesn't count unless there's an audience. Hello, internet. The purpose of the fight is to fight.
