"Dachs" can either mean "badger" (as wrongly guessed by Mr. Google) or "Dach's". The meaning here is "An indication of Dach's authorship ...". A weak indication though, if you ask me. The printed page is reproduced in German Wikipedia; the quotation in High German translates "True love is always ready to obey" – a summary of those verses that have been wisely omitted in Johann Gottfried Herder's version. The song is about bourgeois marriage, thus cannot be seen as a declaration of love from anyone else than the bridegroom. Thus, the poem was written on his behalf. Dach was a proud and prolific craftsman, earning a good income from such commissions.
