GUEST,Peter Harab Lyr ADD: Sunday School (48) RE: Lyr Req/Add: Sunday School 20 Jan 19

My father and uncle used to sing this song--and often, they'd sing it with my grandmother's Russian accent. It started with a Chorus, which was repeated between each verse:
CHORUS:
Come one, come all, come along,
Come to the Sunday School and hear our song.
Take out your chewing gum and stick it on the door.
We'll tell you Bible stories you never heard before.

The earth was made in six days and finished on the seventh.
According to the contract, it should've been the eleventh.
But the carpenters got drunk and the masons wouldn't work,
So all they could do was to fill it up with dirt.

CHORUS

Adam was the first man and Eve she was his wife.
They lived in the Garden of Eden, and led a happy life.
'Til Eve she ate the apple, and then they couldn't remain,
So they moved into the suburbs and started raising Cain.

CHORUS

There are other verses that my father and uncle couldn't remember. They are probably similar to the other verses in this string.
