Your metronome is giving you the indication of tempo. If it is set for 132 for polkas and 100 for reels, that means you are playing a polka faster than a reel. That's a standard musical convention. With your metronome set to 132, play a polka. Then segue straight into a reel without adjusting your metronome. Good luck playing that reel! If reels really were faster than polkas it ought to be a cinch, really easy. Somehow I don't think you'll find it so.
