We are still having cold nights here. I believe the current warm days have more to do with the sun shining down on us through very clear skies, rather than warm air from the south. I remember (because it was our first day in a new house) that 50 years ago tomorrow there was snow in the air and it felt bitterly cold, but only two weeks later the temperatures were in the 70s Fahrenheit. (This is a comment on the current weather in the UK compared with half a century ago. It is not a statement of anyone's views on climate change.)
