One impressive thing is that there were motorists driving along the road as th e massacre was proceeding who stopped their cars and got out to help fallen people - while the killer was still firing.

New Zealand people are showing up pretty well - The Prime Minister reflected a civilised and humane society in her response "They are us" and a promise to tighten gun laws where they are too loose.   Rather a contrast what we have seen in country when this sort of thing things happen, every few weeks it seems.
