Ah, well you see, Matt, this was all before I got to art college: I was merely coasting along in the high school timetable with 17 free periods a week. Other A-level subject was needlework. (It was 1969/70 and things were different). I did spend a lot of free time in the art room, but when it's full of 11 year olds it ain't much fun. Still in touch with my teacher, though. I then went on to do 4 years at art school - one locally for the foundation course, and 3 doing Graphic Design in London - which were full 5 day weeks with late working on Wednesdays. There were also several all-night sessions too. I've been there, pal! Drunk the coffee too! The worst I ever had was at Derby art college, but hey, I wasn't in charge of that machine! Andrea
