The Sherwood Hotel in Queenstown NZ has a great open mic night in a quaint venue in the hotel complex. It is held on the last Thursday of the month and attracts a high standard of musicians and singers. They particularly want to encourage Original Material to be performed and include the spoken word so poetry and rap may be involved. We even had a MAGICIAN do a spot Angie Wright sang a few of her songs to a great audience. If in NZ be sure to seek it out.
