The last of the four founders of Kiveton Park Folk Club, Jack Grace, Passed away aged 85, a few days ago. Jack, along with Ernie Sissons, Mick Hempstock and John Wells held the first official night of the club in the Lord Conyers pub, Kiveton on Tuesday 17 March 1970. Jack was a major influence in the club’s operations, policy and direction. He was a fine singer and musician and always a popular performer, either solo or with other ‘founding fathers’. He promoted the club throughout the area of Sheffield, North Notts and Derbyshire and has left a long standing legacy, as the club is still in existence today. We have a lot to thank Jack Grace for. He was one of the good guys Condolences to his wife Janie and family. Rest easy Jack and give them a couple of songs in folkie heaven.
