Meanwhile, down south in the Land of Oz it is finally autumn! We had some very welcome rain at the weekend, and now summer's heat seems to have finally departed......although the forecast is for slightly above average April temps. Some towns and villages not far from here had their first frost of the season on Monday. We had scarcely any frost last winter; the lack of rain and subsequent dryness meant there was no moisture in the ground to freeze.
