(and lapointe was only a little less gentle) when the seventies canadiens broke the flyers that is exactly what happened. larry robinson broke the boards with garry dornhoffer and those broad street bullies lost their courage thereafter. but robinson did it clean while they were the dirtiest team in history. the old toronto maple leafs the second most dirty. then the bruins.   

so it was great to see the boston thugs lose this year. brad marchand is the dirtiest player in modern hockey with chara as number two.
