Mousethief. In my post I allowed for the fact that the screws ( propellers ) may have been stationery i.e. engines shut down. But all the auxilliary machinery, that I detailed, remains operating and, if you've ever been on a ship, it puts out a shitload of noise. JG / F.M.E.
