Commonly known as GAS (or, for mandolin players, MAS) it is totally incurable; or, I thought it was! With just the two of us rattling around a four bed house, I’ve run out of space and not bought an instrument in over two and a half years - the last one was a Collings Mandola. I pity those who suffer from GAS and can’t afford it but with an increasing number of instruments and an ever reducing space in which to store them, I’ve eventually run out of things to spend my money on. Do I really need three Santa Cruz guitars, two vintage Gibson mandolins etc.etc.etc.etc!
