The first song I ever sung in a folk club on my own* was Cecil Sharp House Folk Cellar in November 1968. I sang "Rambling Soldier". I had been in a group before that but we mainly did youth clubs and local open air concerts, so I guess that doesn't count! * When I say on my own, I don't mean that everyone left to get a beer when my turn came!
