This will be the Twentieth Annual and LAST Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival (PMFF). We've had a great twenty year run, but all good things must come to an end. We hope this year's festival will be the best yet. First event will be Thursday, September 26th at the Portsmouth Athenaeum -- a screening of Dave Hallowell's wonderful biographical film about Tom Hall's (Mudcat's Curmudgeon) musical influence on the PMFF and the folk music community in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. There will also be songs and stories. Tom took over the helm of the festival in 2005 and captained it until his death in 2013. Tom Hall Tribute On Friday, September 27th here will be the Unofficial PMFF Kick-off Maritime Session downstairs at the Thirsty Moose Taphouse on Congress Street in Portsmouth, 4:30-8:30, which should again be grand vocal fun with regulars, out of town singers, and festival performers. We’ll make those rafters roar! The full schedule for this year's Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival is at 2019 Schedule All events are free and are in venues in and around Market Square, Portsmouth, NH. There will be a concert on Saturday evening, September 28th, for which there is a $5 suggested donation. There -- I THINK I've listed everything! Linn
