I never could follow that. He probably meant "transient" ?

I can still be impressed by the playing, though - looping round, playing the same thing many times over without ever repeating themselves ... arguably, this is even relevant here. It's certainly part of the way I think about playing The Tunes.

(I had one of his LPs, once. He wasn't a great singer).

Also, "I guess they can't revoke your soul for trying" is one of the great lines of any genre of song.
