Sorry, you have entirely misunderstood my concern. It's nothing to do with one accompanying instrument being more or less authentic than another. It's whether the accompaniment enhances or degrades the overall experience of hearing the song (a subject much discussed on some other threads). If the accompaniment prevents me from hearing all the words clearly that is a big negative for me. There are some situations where the overall musical sound is more important than understanding all the words (e.g. much of opera) but this isn't one of them.

Other listeners are of course fully entitled to their own opinions.
