P.S. Japan actually play in SH rugby's second tier comp (along with Canada & the US, plus the 3 PI teams). What I'm really hoping for from this RWC (apart from an England win!) is that Japan & Fiji get invited to join the SH T1 competition (Japan is surely a commercial no-brainer, Fiji not so viable) with a promotion / relegation spot to encourage the T2 nations. And that would also make space for Uruguay & Namibia in the T2 comp (since Argentina & SA are already in the T1, this seems the natural fit), who are the only T2 nations without regular competitive rugby. The only thing then required is a play-off match between the 6N wooden spoon & the top NH T2 side (Georgia, usually) but I'm not holding my breath over that closed shop being slightly opened!
