- You missed a great evening in Partick Folk Club on Friday, celebrating the lives of Gordeanna McCulloch, Anne Neilson and Ronnie Clark who all established the Glasgow Ballad Workshop, and sadly died within about 18 months of one another. Lots of grand singers, songs, reminiscences, including Gordeanna's son Adam.
There is anoother event you should try to get to in Strathclyde Suite of Concert Hall on Sunday 26th at (7.30 for 8??) Called Flo'ors o' the Fairest it is a celebration of Gordeanna, Anne and also Maureen Jelks - they were all incredible singers, died within 6 months of one another. You will really enjoy the event - but get your ticket soon!
