I remember the custom in Greece was to first serve a glass of cold water (krio nero) to customers in a restaurant. Very civilised! Long Firm Freddie: I also remember Tom Paley telling the joke about seeing a graffito in a Men's toilet that said 'I LIKE GRILS'. Somebody had crossed out 'GRILS' and written 'GIRLS'. Somebody else had written 'WHAT ABOUT US GRILS?'
