At different times in my life I've developed either tendonitis or unexplained but seemingly muscular pain which would not quit. Got a prescription for a strong anti-inflammatory (NSAID) called feldene or piroxicam Each time one to two weeks on it worked for me when nothing else would. These days it is considered 'out of fashion'. All I can say is 'it worked for me.' And the pain stayed gone.
