At the Alistair Hulett memorial event, they were giving away his CDs. The statement was made that CDs are a 'thing of the past'. This came as quite a shock to me, knowing how much money and effort goes into manufacturing these CDs. And especially how critical a part of an artist's income these sales are with the tiny amounts available from iTunes, Spotify and the like.

That said, there is probably a large backlog of projects which produced CDs that are now out of print, but would be relatively easy to upload to DistroKid and have available on all the digital platforms.
