The James Eisner recording of the song was very nice indeed. He sings it 'just right' for my taste. I hear similarities to the WMT tune in it, but even more of the John McDonald version. I really appreciate the scholarship and dedication all the contributors have done to give us a new perspective into the history of Tannahill's words. Now to get a portable recording of it that I can play anytime.
