As noted, a number of folks have recorded the song. I also have Gerry Hallom's version. "Gerry Hallom sang Andy's Gone With Cattle in 1981 on his Fellside album Travellin' Down the Castlereagh. This track was also included in 1996 on his anthology CD Undiscovered Australia." Having heard various people sing it, I have a strong objection to it being sung mechanically in a sprightly waltz tempo. Gerry Hallom and Jean Redpath, in my opinion, do it 'right'.
