The London 'Freedom Pass' (I didn't know it was called that: it sounds like the name the White House would give to a document that allows Mexicans to work in the US) is hugely more valuable than the one available in the rest of England. As a holder of a Kent bus pass it's irritating that, in London, I can only use it on buses, not the tube. The buses are getting slower, too; my impression is that the benefits of the congestion charge are wearing off. Mind you, at least Kent has some buses. Large parts of the country have few.
