John Quincy Adams must have been pretty highly regarded during his lifetime in order to have all those towns named after him. I don't think he's on many historian's Top Ten Presidents list. Or maybe the idea of having a president to name towns after was so new that folks jumped at the opportunity, even if he was a lousy president. At least they didn't name anyplace really important after him, like Quincy, District of Columbia.
