I'm Chris' youngest son, Oliver. I'm not sure if this will reach people after so many years, but I felt I had to post, having only just found this thread.
Having read through the posts, it is incredibly touching to see such wonderful memories shared. It still amazes me how many people were affected by my father's somewhat larger than life personality! Certainly, a good portion of my own memories are from the underside of a table in some pub or another, with his booming voice ringing out around me in chorus.
If possible, and if anyone has them, I would greatly appreciate any recordings of my father singing people may have. I have some already, of him singing with Capstan Full Strength, but more would always be appreciated.
