Raggytash Lyr Req: Story of a sailor waylaid (24) Lyr Req: Story of a sailor waylaid 28 Apr 20

Once again I'm looking for the words of a song I heard at Bracknall folk festival some 40 years ago

"one fine summers day a woman went walking
down by the river so gentle and free
and there she espied a beautiful sailor
sitting alone in the shade of a tree

She boldly went up to this young man
pray tell to me from whence you came
for my eyes have not feasted on such beauty
and may never do so again"

The woman goes on to have her wicked way with the young man and he ends up sighing "mother I am quite undone"

It was very funny and well sung by two Canadian girls(I think).

I would dearly love to get the words
