Be fair the deaths are roughly equal when the relative populations are taken into account: Northern Ireland 458 deaths/ population 1.8 million R.O.I. 1458 deaths/ population 4.8 million NI Deaths per million 254 R.O.I. Deaths per million 303 No massive difference. But it doesn't support Jim's point either.
